XML and EDML for Dimension Management Across the EnterpriseStratature is committed to the adoption of XML as a standard for systems interoperability. +EDM fully supports XML as a method for importing dimensions and as a component of the Open Subscription Interface for exporting dimensional information for downstream consumption. The complexities of versions, hierarchies, attributes and collections require revisions to existing XML standards. As an extensible format, Stratature has defined an XSD (XML Schema Definition), called EDML, as the first complete XML specification for dimensional metadata management. As well as socializing and continuing to improve this specification, Stratature is actively promoting EDML as a standard to be incorporated into leading XML definitions. Working with several technology alliance partners and industry councils, Stratature is taking a leadership role in the Enterprise Dimension Management arena. |
