Exploiting the Microsoft BI platform IntelligentApps has based its solution technology 100% on the Microsoft BI platform. On the server we have designed our products to uniquely exploit the scalability and performance of the market leading Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services OLAP database. In addition, in 2004, we will be leveraging the new Microsoft SQL Reporting Services product to address areas such as relational reporting and detailed operational analysis. On the client, we believe that "as all management information ends up in a spreadsheet anyway", then developing yet another proprietary interface to Business Intelligence is wrong, and that as almost all business users already have Microsoft Excel, (in excess of 120 Million copies world-wide), then this environment should be extended to become a complete BI product. IntelligentApps has removed the scalability limits of Microsoft’s Excel to now provide the most scalable front end tool for SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services on the market, yet still retaining all the power, manipulation and presentation qualities of Excel. To complete the picture, once front end applications have been developed in the combination of Excel and IntelligentApps Excel Edition, applications can be published to the web in seconds using IntelligentApps Web Server Edition.
